Aluminum of Morocco and Industube: A strategic union for the industrial development and growth of the aluminum sector

Casablanca, November 15, 2024 – Aluminium du Maroc today announces the merger-absorption of its subsidiary Industube. This strategic operation strengthens the group’s market position and expands its production capacity for aluminum profiles, thus meeting the growing needs of customers in Morocco and abroad. The objective is to support the growth of the aluminum sector while diversifying the product offering and enhancing the group’s competitiveness.

A merger to strengthen the production capacity of aluminum profiles

This merger marks a new milestone in the industrial development of Aluminium du Maroc, with a significant increase in its production capacities. The production of aluminum profiles will increase by 35%, reaching 27,000 tons per year in extrusion, while powder coating capacity will grow by 50%, reaching 21,000 tons per year. These infrastructure investments respond to rising demand, particularly in the construction and industrial sectors, and will allow the group to ensure greater competitiveness both locally and internationally.

Additional development potential through strengthened infrastructure

This merger also comes with an expansion of Aluminium du Maroc’s land assets. The integration of Industube includes the acquisition of 3.8 hectares of land adjacent to existing facilities, increasing the group’s land capacity by 88%. This land reserve opens new perspectives for future projects and further consolidates the foundations for Aluminium du Maroc’s long-term development.

A significant contribution to revenue growth

The acquisition of Industube will contribute 30% to the increase of Aluminium du Maroc’s total revenue, bringing it to 1.5 billion dirhams. With an average annual revenue of 350 million dirhams for Industube, this merger enables Aluminium du Maroc to diversify and expand its product offering while supporting the acceleration of its development, particularly internationally.

A strong financial commitment

On the financial front, this operation is a sign of growth and sustainability. The net assets contributed by Industube are valued at 92 million dirhams, while the merger premium amounts to 17 million dirhams. These results reflect Aluminium du Maroc’s commitment to strengthening its investments in the development of its activities and optimizing its financial performance, ensuring enhanced resilience in the face of economic challenges.

Human capital at the heart of the growth strategy

As part of this growth dynamic, Aluminium du Maroc places special emphasis on its human capital. The company, which had 515 employees prior to the merger, now has a workforce of 650 employees, reflecting the group’s commitment to supporting its expansion through investment in talent and skills. The expertise of Aluminium du Maroc’s teams, combined with a corporate culture built on strong values such as commitment, respect, trust, and responsibility, is a key factor in its success. The company is convinced that the alignment of its employees with these values is essential to meeting future challenges and strengthening its market position.
